Bethel Community Center hosted a Kindergarten Readiness Program in July 2024. Upon hearing that 90% of Pre-K students in our school district cannot pass the kindergarten screening test, Bethel w to be a part of the solution. Education is key to addressing the root causes of poverty. This program launched mid July 2024. The 5-week program focueds on 20 skills the state of Ohio deems necessary for preschoolers who are transitioning into kindergarten.
Examples of topics being addressed will be language & literacy, mathematics, social skills, and physical development. We plan to keep things fun and interesting throughout the program. Lunch will be served free of charge to all participants.
